- You will have an ongoing contract for the duration of the students time at Sharon Kennard School of Dance
- Classes stop for the Summer, Christmas and Easter Holidays but carry on during half terms and Bank Holidays with possible time changes.
- Students are expected to attend 90% of each term
- Termly fees may increase each January (this is kept to a minimum, usually £2 increase per term)
General
Fees (payable in advance)
- Fees are to be paid within the first 2 weeks of each term. Payment is accepted by cash or by bank transfer.
- If a student decides they no longer wish to continue with their dancing or a particular class then ½ a terms written notice is
required. Failure to do so does mean the new 10 week term has to be paid for in full. Also if they leave mid term money will not
be refunded. - If a student needs to miss a certain amount of lessons in a row then the full term payment still needs to be paid
Missed Classes
- If a student is unable to attend a weekday lesson then please let Sharon know by no later than 1:00pm on the day of the class; you can either ring, text or send an email. For Saturday’s classes then please let Sharon know the day beforehand.
Bad Weather
- In the event of bad weather – If a student is unable to attend due to bad weather conditions Sharon must be informed where Possible by 1:00pm on the day of the class; you can either ring, text or send an email. For Saturday’s classes then please let Sharon know the day beforehand.
- If Sharon has to cancel classes due to lack of numbers because of bad weather then money will not be refunded.
Fetes/Shows/Examinations
- All students are included in the annual exam session held around Easter time unless you are told otherwise by Sharon herself.
- If students would prefer not take exams please tick the appropriate part in your application form, the only classes that won’t take exams is Cheerleading, these classes are focused on just fun and performance. All students will be included in “It’s Showtime” which is held annually each July. Again students would prefer not perform in “It’s Showtime” each year please tick the appropriate part in your application form.
- All extra rehearsals must also be attended. Any monies due, associated with the show, School uniform or other merchandise and examination fees etc must also be paid in full by the specified dates at the time.
Uniform
- Class uniform must be worn to all classes; hair tied up neatly off the face and no jewellery is allowed in class at all, (for health & safety reasons).
Personal Details
- If a students details change, e.g. address, phone number or medical condition changes, then a new Application Form must be requested and completed without delay.
Advertising
- Photographs/Videos of students may be used for advertising purposes, i.e. on the school website, social media etc…now and in years to come.
