Sharon Kennard School of Dance offers classes in MAIDSTONE
For 2 1/2-year-olds up to adults in the following subjects; Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Disco and Cheerleading. All classes are held at Fant community hall.

Rules and Regulations
Exams can be taken through the recognised examination board I.D.T.A in, Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Disco.
Exams are held annually, all students are encouraged to take the exams, but it is not compulsory. Since 2001, Sharon has had a 100% pass rate.
Performance Opportunities
Sharon Kennard School of Dance also holds their own annual show “It’s Show Time” in which the entire school take part in. The children have also performed at many School Fetes and extravaganzas in and around Maidstone usually during the summer months.
Since 2004 Students have been fortunate enough to perform at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End of London – home to Phantom of the Opera! the Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End of London – home to shows such as Fame and Hairspray starring Michael ball! Disneyland Paris!! Performing on the Fantasyland Festival stage, and of course our very own Hazlitt Theatre here in Maidstone. Students can be involved in fundraising events (towards show costs)

Sharon is very friendly and welcoming and dedicated. My daughter joined in 2020 and absolutely loves going! Her confidence has grown and has made lots of friends. She is always keen to show us her dancing at home. Sharon provides themes classes (Christmas, Halloween) which my daughter loves. Sharon goes above and beyond for her pupils including online lessons during lockdown so the girls could continue to learn and dance, they also received certificates through the post! I would highly recommend!

Students have gone on to study dance professionally at MMU, University of Chichester Conservatoire, Millennium, Wilkes Academy, Bird, Performers college, RPA and JGH Academy of Theatre Arts.
Here at Sharon Kennard School of Dance Sharon brings over 40 years dance experience and 30 years of teaching experience, Sharon leads every class herself, with her hands on approach and by working directly with each student it ensures she builds meaningful connections with students and parents, getting to know both personally helping create a nurturing and supportive environment allowing her to share her extensive knowledge and love of dance to our next generation of dancers.
